Latest Updates from Our Project:

The weapon of choice
almost 7 years ago – Tue, May 23, 2017 at 10:40:28 PM

“When I found them, they were lost. The offspring of a race that generates only twins. They were lost and I saved them.

Their redemption was painful. Pain that was amplified by their symbiotic relationship. But in the end, they were reborn. They understood which was the right way.

I showed them the miracle of justice and the power of punishment. And they understood. Their wonder when I illuminated them with my knowledge, was magnificent. They gave me everything. Their two bodies were now mine and I reforged them.

When they woke up in their new life, I gave them the most precious things I owned so they could use them in their mission. They had now become my specimens, my favourite children, my Blessed Weapons.”

And here we are at the latest Update of this riveting campaign!

You’re doing an excellent job and the SGs are dropping like flies.

After the great milestone of the Boogeyman, 3 new Oblivion Cards arrived, which our Psionics will need to reckon with each time they try and bully the Faun Witches.

Many of you will have seen a new mysterious character peeking out, which you’ll get your hands on as soon as we reach the $185,000 mark. The Blessed Weapon Alfa is a new type of Hero, which is different from the other members of the crew for lots of reasons, not least of all because he’s not a member of Genesis!

Alfa will amaze you for many reasons... we know you're curious to know more (what does “Twin Hero” mean??) but just be patient, all will be revealed!

In the meantime, you can admire the spectacular art concept by Daniel Comerci, who continues to amaze us with his ideas and unique style.

We must also congratulate you on the excellent results in the Socials! And all the SSGs are there to prove it! For the next BGG goal, we’ve decided to reward you with a Hero based on a character we all loved, who made us laugh, a tribute to a great actor and the best parody of Star Wars (Space Balls the flame thrower!!). Burp will be an alternative Engineer that you can use in your games! We’re sure you’ll have fun with him! (BURP!)

 That’s all for now!

Stay tuned and spread the word

Simonia
almost 7 years ago – Tue, May 23, 2017 at 08:38:36 AM

Welcome to the best part of the day: the Update.

We are excited to announce our cooperation with Gremlin Project and their publisher, Ares Games.

Gremlin Project is supporting our Kickstarter campaign granting us permission to develop a new exclusives Galaxy Defenders Agent... Simonia, the Human Infiltrator!

Simonia's hi-tech armour, equipped with energy blades, gives her impressive combat capabilities, especially in fast, close combat missions!

By pledging for the Sine Tempore campaign you will receive this lethal agent, who can be used in:

• Sine Tempore, as a hero with an extensive set of cards.

• Galaxy Defenders, as a new Infiltrator agent (with its own Agent Profile Sheet), usable in any Core set, Operation Strikeback and Extinction Protocol mission.

For additional information about the Galaxy Defenders line and the other Ares Games products, visit: http://www.aresgames.eu/games/galaxy-defenders-line

We are pleased to inform you that Nunzio, Simone and Ares wanted to do even more! In fact, in addition to the materials you’ll receive to use Simonia in ST, you’ll also receive those needed to play in GD, such as a new and unreleased Hero with characteristics invented by the authors, specifically for this occasion!

I’d say that’s not too bad for a first Crossover!

Simonia is the second Scout of Achab’s crew, but naturally her equipment and special skills will be very different to those of Molly, even though both share a talent for mobility on the battlefield. However, Simonia doesn’t have any long-range weapons, so she will be specialised in close combat. In fact, thanks to her jetpacks, she’ll be able to make lightning-quick “hit&run” strikes. Given that she’s not very resilient, she’ll need to optimise her attacks to avoid counter-attacks by enemies. This is where her double phase blades may come in very handy!

Isaac has opened his engineering laboratory to all visitors, selling various gadgets that he makes during his breaks from work.

As the first add-on, Isaac introduces you to Kyrone, a truly fantastic piece, a leader whose charisma and physical strength make him a force to reckon with.

Kyrone guides his tribe of centaurs throughout all the different terrains of Primaevus V and watches over the initiation territories, where young hunters confront their first test making them adults in the eyes of the community.

He is the safekeeper of masks, responsible for giving young survivors their hunting mask. Each mask has its own design, a mark setting it apart, making it unique and personal.

Kyrone can be used as a leader or a monster during the Sine Tempore exploration missions and even has his own personal hunting mission.

As some of you already know, at 170K we’ll celebrate having reached the NA record, a small goal that we had hoped to achieve with this campaign. And thanks to your help, we're getting there much earlier than we ever could have hoped.

A great surprise is in store for those who supported us in the NA project, but in the meantime we leave you with a small spoiler.

Stay tuned and spread the word!

One eye is better than two
almost 7 years ago – Tue, May 23, 2017 at 08:38:17 AM

Genesis is taking the universe by storm, continuously accompanied by radio broadcasts thanks to your support. Achab’s Sinebook keeps getting likes and shares as if they were enemies! Meanwhile, Jukas keeps getting new Fans on PsionicGeek!

In this update, first of all we’ll speak about the Social Stretch Goals and the rewards you've unlocked!

Primaevus V isn’t a always bed of Spriggans. Terrible traps are hidden in the planet’s thick vegetation, for example the mines that have been buried for some time, just waiting for you to make a wrong move; plasma cables that can electrocute you in an instant, or... Spriggans that force you to explain the rules of a trending board game in this remote corner of the galaxy!

Achab may well be a sophisticated strategist, but he’s got little chance of remaining unscathed by the hidden dangers of a planet as crazy and risky as this one. Unfortunately, the experience and help of your crew can’t always save your life. Often, expert help is needed. Thanks to the Holovisor, Achab often sees the advice of other wise captains on the BGG forum, making sure he’s always prepared.

Fatigue is a settler’s worst enemy, it clouds the senses and leads to death! So don’t be caught unaware, always carry a stash of RED BULL-Y with you! Collect the cans for a fairy-tale stay on Primeavus! Try it now, as of today it’s even available in a Krabnok flavour!

Tired? If you need to regain your strength... try RED BULL-Y!

And for the next we introduce you the lovely "Book of Love" (very useful if you are falled in love for a Primaeval Witch)

And now it's the time to introduce you the new member of the Genesis crew: Ulisse!

Concept Art by Giovanni Pirrotta

As you may have noticed by his build, Ulisse is not human but rather is part of the Cyclops species, a highly technologically advanced alien race, famous all throughout the galaxy for their ability to design and create spectacular super technologies, and above all (of course), in the military sector.

Ulisse miniature...very big indeed
Ulisse miniature...very big indeed

From their home planet, Furgis Prime, formidable Soldiers are raised, who in addition to their strong physical build, also boast the best weapons and armour. Ulisse is one of these soldiers. A veteran of many colonial wars and known for his bad attitude, he has decided to join Achab in his quest. There’s nothing better than a lethal combination of physical power and high technology to defend Genesis and its crew! And so Ulisse will work alongside Andromeda 2.0 in a Security role.

This means that if you like, you can line up 2 heavily armed bad asses. His initial equipment includes the Turtle Armour, his impenetrable second skin. His helmet features the Eagle Scope, which offers improved striking precision and allows him to save AP when taking aim, and of course his trusted pair of Hydra GX-47, two terrifying repeating firearms, able to cause serious damage and create suppression fire in certain areas of the battlefield. The Ulysses miniature (which some of you were lucky enough to see at Essen) will be added to the Big sizes of this campaign and his big build (60 mm) means he can look Bull-y straight in the eyes... before unloading a magazine on him.

Ready to welcome him on-board your ship and prepare a nice, big room for him?

Before we salute you until the next Update, which will include details on some of the most important aspects of the rules, we’d like to show you a few stolen shots of Giovanni at work (SPOILER ALERT!)...

New target acquired!
almost 7 years ago – Tue, May 23, 2017 at 01:05:19 AM

Even the new Psionic weapons have been recovered from the Genesis crew... these lethal blades never fail! A Psionic armed with the EMP Sabers has a shorter range, but their attacks are much more lethal. As with the other equipment items, these too have two different levels of development, giving these blades incredible power.

You've reached the barricades! These 3D scenic elements will provide shelter during the missions and guarantee an improved line of sight. This type of terrain introduces the rules on height.

Finally, the first destination of this journey can be seen on the horizon. There’s a thousand-year old being observing you with a not-so-friendly demeanor. This homage to Nova Aetas will give you new enemies for both games. In the next update, we’ll go into more detail about who and what it’s looking for...

That which dies never dies
almost 7 years ago – Tue, May 23, 2017 at 01:05:11 AM

.

Everything on Silicio is cold and lifeless,

but this won't stop the Boogeyman from travelling the paths of steel and copper.

Andromeda 1.0 has created a true army of servants who follow orders with blind faith, but the King of the dead is busy pursuing his own interests.

After his soul came back from the world of purple flames, his body was never the same. His organs had been replaced by mechanical parts and his torn muscles had been repaired with silicone; all that remained of the man he once was, were a few faded memories and the torments of a ferocious death.

Even his most basic survival instincts had been replaced by an irrepressible rapacity to regenerate his own organic parts. To avoid physical deterioration, the Boogeyman is continuously in search of biological materials to replace his rotting tissue, enabling this creature to live forever.

What is a King without his servants?

In the case of the Boogeyman, a muddle of scrap iron and bone. These grim constructions, known as Dolls, are the loyal servants of the King of the shadows, who blindly carry out the treacherous tasks assigned to them without a second thought.

In addition to protecting their King from danger, the Dolls also have the onerous task of reining in the chaotic and quick-tempered Ravenants: expendable tools for their ruler, which are most often used to replace his organic parts.

But the Boogeyman’s grief affects not only the happenings in Sine Tempore. Having been regenerated to the point of losing all traces of his original body, he survived for thousands of years in his continuous search for living (and non) materials.

He arrived on Earth thousands of years ago, becoming a living nightmare, a frightening legend used to instil fear in young children. “If you misbehave, the Boogeyman will come get you!” the saying goes... not knowing that the Boogeyman doesn't distinguish between the good and the bad, men and women... nobody is safe from the risk of becoming food for his insatiable hunger. And wherever he goes, monstrous creatures make their appearance.

Now, in the cradle of the renaissance, he has paused to find refuge in the meanders of the underworlds of Venice... will the Heroes of Nova Aetas survive this new, terrifying Enemy and his legion of non-living servants??

Created by the gifted Daniel Comerci (the author of the cover and many concepts of NA) to celebrate our first game, the Boogeyman and marionettes will also be playable in Nova Aetas. In the rules, you’ll find a Secondary Mission that will bring you face to face with him. What’s more, his enemy card (and those of his servants) can be added to the Enemy Decks so that they can be played in all the missions where they are nominated. If you’re frightened by this terrible adversary, fear not... even the most evil of the evil have a nemesis...

As usual...spoiler:
