Latest Updates from Our Project:

Call to arms
almost 7 years ago – Wed, May 31, 2017 at 12:55:32 AM

As many of you will already know, a very powerful horde is about to arrive, with enormous strength compared to ours.

The battle will be unequal, but we have an enormous advantage rarely found in other Kickstarter campaigns. We have your support on our side.

In this fantastic race, we have developed an excellent relationship with you guys, but we can’t deny that we often find ourselves chatting about your comments and the messages you post.

More often than not we work hard to satisfy your requests, which we consider very valid and at times highly entertaining, like when we eventually unveil something extra about the white whale.

One of our objectives is to establish a strong bond with our backers.

We know that our success is first and foremost thanks to you, so we will never abandon you. Some of our initiatives are conceived for the very purpose of supporting our projects, such as Ashes (the free magazine you’ll find on our website).

We try to be constantly present wherever questions are asked about our games, and even the living rulebook initiative is intended to help us improve, keeping the rules of the game constantly up to date.

So the moment has arrived to give another big push to Sine Tempore... spread the word, show the game in places we can’t reach, forums, blogs and even clubs in your area.

The game is about to get tough...

Terrible sound can be heard in the distance...
almost 7 years ago – Tue, May 30, 2017 at 12:15:40 AM

And the campaign’s much anticipated fourth add-on has arrived!

The band of Kyrone Guards has landed on Primaevus V to reclaim the territories conquered by Achab and crew! In this fantastic box you’ll find the well-known Kyrone, 3 Guards, Centaurs set on defending the sacred locations of Primaevus V and 5 Broods, creatures originally from Primaevus V that Kryone and his centaurs have trained to back their cause.

With the arrival of this box, the influence of the Primaevi will increase significantly and the Genesis crew will need to find a way to contain their fury and shrewdness. As usual, in addition to the miniatures you’ll find everything you need to play these new enemies. Therefore, in addition to the Kyrone box (Nemesis cards included!) you’ll find all the enemy cards, tokens and an extra themed game board.

This mini-expansion will help you dive even further into the world of Sine Tempore, but if you’re interested in purchasing only Kyrone, we’ll keep the option open to buy it separately.

And to conclude, a terrible sound can be heard in the distance... something big seems to be getting closer... something very big.

Stay tuned and sprad the word!

Fato
almost 7 years ago – Mon, May 29, 2017 at 12:43:10 AM

A striking temple emerges from the centre of a lush clearing.

Inside, the sound of footsteps can be heard echoing in the dusty corridors, tens of fauns guarding the temple line up in reverence of the witch: Fato.

The witch is the fortune teller and personal adviser of Cloto, Lachesi and Atropo, the three Sacred Mothers leading the cult of the Blood of Gaea; she passes the guards without so much as looking at them, as stern and severe as she is sensual and charismatic. She is feared and revered almost as much as their direct leaders.

Fato’s mind is fraught with morbid visions of decline, their species will meet their downfall and the cult will be almost forgotten, the Mothers will be nothing more than a faded page in the history of the Primaevo people.

The cult presides over every war recommendation, its word is the last. The Sacred mothers guide the warrior tribes through their visions, acting as the judge and the jury, sending the young to take The Test to become Hunters. They mentally guide the fury of the Bull-y and preside over sacred functions to constantly fortify their power.

The witch has reached her quarters, the holographic machine is on and an ancient text appears before her eyes. A ritual exists to reveal the true power of the Blood of Gaea, which can grant the power to see beyond the Veil. She could become just as powerful as a Goddess, but as her visions of blood had warned, it could be the beginning of the end for her people. Thus she asks herself, “what would a Goddess be without a population to worship her?”

A quiver of rage betrays the serene expression on the witch’s face, who is almost startled when she hears a knock at the door. The guard brings her an important message: alien creatures had landed on the planet. Dismissing the faun with a simple wave of her hand, she begins to read and check the information. Once more alone, a new painful vision takes over, the Mother Goddess is on her side, the travellers may have been able to help her... willing or not.

Speaking of new game mechanics, we’re getting closer and closer to the highly requested 5-6 player mode, which we have decided to call “Nightmare Mode”. We had been working on the possibility of increasing the number of players, but your requests on the message board convinced us to insert it during the KS campaign. In Nightmare mode, we will supply a set of enemy cards containing the statistics of enemies you already know, but in a decidedly more powerful and dangerous version. The enemies will have more wounds, more skills and will generally be more lethal than normal. In addition, you’ll receive a reference sheet with small changes that need to be applied to certain missions so they can be adapted to the new playing mode. Basically this mode will allow you to increase the number of players without reducing the difficulty of the challenge... in fact, if you're feeling particularly strong you can decide to play Nightmare mode in 4... coming out of that situation alive will be an achievement worth remembering!

Marku has arrived on Primaevus V. He followed the trail left by the Genesis engines until catching up to it. But why is this strange creature looking for travellers? Where does he come from?

He seems like a warrior, he has a military, calm, cool demeanour. Will Achab manage to thwart this new threat? Marku will be supplied with a card so that he can also be played in Vampire Hunter, with new personalised characteristics to celebrate this fantastic crossover.

Le fleur du mal
almost 7 years ago – Sat, May 27, 2017 at 08:53:19 PM

Welcome to our first weekend update!

The Genesis journey continues undeterred, mowing down the SGs so fast that we too need to speed it up!

“A datapad screen shines bright amidst the thick vapours of the acidic marshlands. Luperco, a biologist of the Primaeva species, is often marginalised and mistreated by the warrior tribes, who see fauns dedicated to technological research and progress as useless time wasters. He feels at home among the smelly swamps of the marshlands, so familiar to his companion Faina, as he verifies whether the Athyrium Musacaria, the flowers of their birth planet, also grow on the wild surface of Primaevus V. As Luperco uses his equipment to check the health of the flowers, he perceives a strange presence. These four beings are devoid of horns and hoofs, and while they may not appear dangerous, they are potentially a threat to his species. This could well be his great opportunity to prove his worth in the eyes of the warriors, demonstrating that science can be effectively used in hunting and is just as valuable as a sharpened lance.”

You have discovered a new plant variety on Primaevus V, the beautiful but lethal Flowers! This new 3D element will be made available to you as usual through the corresponding Terrain Card, which will indicate the special rules and positioning instructions. We can reveal that each card will position 3 flowers.

These Flowers will put your heroes to the test in a whole new way. In fact, not only will they tend to attack the heroes, but given that these flowers are grown on the Primaevi birth planet, they will also heal any adjacent enemies belonging to this race... it really is a “Le fleur du mal”.

With the Luperco enemy cards, we also introduce a new play option for your campaign: Recruitment! We will supply exploration mission cards with a themed mission, and until you confront this mission (and win it), Luperco will behave as an enemy and you won’t be able to use him as a hero! Given that this is an optional rule, feel free to use it or otherwise. If you don’t, you can insert Luperco into your crew at any time... you decide!

Finally, soon we will get to the beautiful and terrible Fato, the supreme master of the coven of Witches, a new boss to add to your narrative campaign!

We have seen lots of queries on the message board regarding how to use the enemies.

Each enemy has a coloured symbol next to their name, a prism that indicates the type: troop, elite, boss or monster. The difference between these units lies in their playing strength and strategy of use.

The troop and elite units often base their strength on numbers and on the number of combined attacks they can make.

The boss and monster units are composed of a single model (except in rare exceptions), which have special skills and characteristics that are much more powerful than the troop and elite units.

The missions are balanced out to be played in a certain amount of time and against a certain type of adversary, but the event cards and glyphs can tip the scale in one direction or the other, making certain situations unpredictable. Will you be able to manage the unexpected?

The play level can be balanced out by deciding whether or not to use various optional rules, for example deactivating the glyph rule, for amateur players, or using the optional Death rule (already seen in Nova Aetas), which adds certain grim reaper cards in the wounds deck, which if drawn permanently kill the unfortunate hero for the rest of the campaign.

As usual a spoiler:

Armored Defense Engine
almost 7 years ago – Fri, May 26, 2017 at 10:36:14 PM

Welcome to this rich Update filled with fantastic contents!

We’ve nearly reached the halfway mark in our journey and the Stretch Goals are dropping like flies! And we’re the happiest of all!

We’d like to reward you with lots of ST materials, and even if a lot of extra stuff has already been added to your Pledges, we’ve got many more surprises in store!

The World Events were recently added, unlocking a new mechanism for the Colony Phase which is sure to make your Heroes’ resting time a lot more lively!

In fact at the beginning of the Colony Phase, you’ll need to draw one of these cards and immediately apply its effects. This normally means trouble for your colony. In fact you could even lose a territory (which consequently won't give you any raw materials unless it is reconquered), or the Genesis could be seriously damaged following a laboratory accident (yep, Isaac gets a little distracted every now and then), not to mention lots of other not-so-pleasant events that you’ll need to face making the right decisions.

There may even be positive Events, such as territories that are more productive than usual or diseases among the Enemies. Needless to say, there’s lots of fun to be had!

A new version of Andromeda 2.0 has also arrived! With this SG, you’ve added the ST Plug-in mechanism. In fact, you can swap the plug-in base of the O.R.C. pilot of A.D.E. with that of Andromeda, meaning yes, you can use our lethal Mech as a Hero!!

During the Silicio campaign you’ll have the possibility to purchase the powerful killing machine, at which point you’ll need to swap the Andromeda equipment with the 3 new cards unlocked together with the plug-in. The cards include the terrible armour (canons included), the Shield and the electromagnetic canon of A.D.E. Of course the way you play Andromeda 2.0 will change drastically when it uses A.D.E.

Our favourite gynoid will have incredibly higher resistance and fire power, but will also be much less mobile and become highly vulnerable to certain types of attacks (especially those launched by her diabolic sister). Nonetheless, we know you won't be able to resist using the power of A.D.E. (we can’t resist).

And now, without delay let’s head to the next SG: a new 3D terrain to personalise your battlefields! Flowers might be beautiful to look at, but they can also be very dangerous! And now for the official news items!

As you may have already seen from the spoilers on the message board, we have finalised an agreement with Don’t Panic Game and Cosmic Games, who will produce the French and Italian versions of ST respectively!

This is an important commercial achievement for us and we’re truly happy that thanks to this agreement, it will be easier to distribute ST worldwide! For our French and Italian backers, this translates into the certain localisation of the ST core box in their native language, something that makes us very happy (and them too, we hope!).

For the rest of the KS material, we’ll try and look after production ourselves provided the KS campaign reaches a result able to cover the costs.

We’re so pleased that this fantastic result was achieved during the campaign, which all of you are helping to make truly special!

So thank you for that too! And as always, a few spoilers and pictures on what to expect soon!
