Latest Updates from Our Project:

The hunt has begun
about 6 years ago – Tue, Apr 24, 2018 at 01:41:55 AM

Hi Settlers!

Welcome to Update number 50, jam-packed with lots of information, updates, miniatures and even a small gift for you guys. But let’s go in order, starting with an update on production!

Production

First of all we’re proud to inform you that all ST sculptures have been completed, which means we’ll meet the deadline of 30th April with a few days to spare. We're currently transferring the model files (as you know, there are lots of them) to the factory.

As soon as the factory receives the files, the intense review and correction process will commence and will continue until the day mass production begins in July. As you can imagine, this part of the process involves a lot of work by our sculptors, who are following instructions provided on a case by case basis by the factory technicians.

A number of small adjustments will be needed to get the models ready for print. These adjustments usually involve minor details on the miniatures, so you shouldn’t need to worry, the models will be the same as the ones you've come to know and love. If there is a remote possibility that a model needs to be significantly changed due to printing needs, we’ll let you know.

In each update, we’ll show you models that you haven’t seen yet to keep you entertained during the wait and make you sure you don't get bored... so in this update, we are proud to present Ksur!

Ksur the Merchant
Ksur the Merchant

As you may recall, Ksur joined the party a few months ago, when thanks to your support, ST entered the list of the most anticipated games of 2018.

We hope you like him!

 Kyrone’s hunt

As promised, today we are concentrating on one of the fantastic ST Add-ons: Kyrone and his pack of hunting Centaurs. And we’ll even take this opportunity to show you the model for Kyrone’s centaurs, the Wardens/Stalkers!

Kyrone Centaur
Kyrone Centaur

These spectacular models will create a formidable pack of hunters and guardians of the Primaevi hunting tradition. Each Centaur receives their mask upon completion of the Gaea ordeal, which consists in hunting a Thundertooth (other friendly inhabitants of Primaevus that we’ll get to know in the update dedicated to the Motherfang Add-on). Warden masks are not infinite and when a Centaur is killed in battle, Kyrone himself recovers the mask, which is then donated to a new Centaur that has successfully completed an ordeal. In this way, Kyrone always controls the same number of Centaurs. The objective of Kyrone and his followers is to protect Primaevus and its traditions during the periods when the other tribes and the Cult of Mothers aren’t on the planet. In fact, Primaevus is not the Fauns’ birth planet but rather a sacred planet for their traditions, and the tribes and Mothers go there to pay homage to Gaea only in certain periods... unfortunately for Achab and friends, the Genesis happened to arrive on Primaevus V during one of these times.

Centaur back

The battle with Kyrone is therefore inevitable. If you are unlucky (or lucky) enough to draw his exploration mission, you’ll need to fight it out with these fearsome warriors. The main version of Kyrone is played as a Nemesis, or a particular Boss using a deck of 16 cards to manage his actions. Our heroes will need to resist his powerful and brutal attacks while also watching their backs against the Wardens and bloodhounds. You’ll also find the Kyrone & Co. cards inside the package, allowing you to come up against them as random enemies in all other missions.

Kyrone Map tile 2 - The Ordeal Fire

The Nemesis mechanics are a fun variant of the normal ST missions. Using the cards to manage the Boss’s moves, players will be able to prepare new strategies. If you love the mechanics of “Soul” video games you can battle it out with the Boss on multiple occasions, and by leaving the deck in the order indicated by the rulebook, you will increasingly learn how to confront him by selecting the right Heroes and Skills, aiming for higher and more appealing rewards. If on the other hand, you’re a fan of unpredictability, after beating a Nemesis for the first time, the next time you come up against them you can mix up the cards and be totally surprised!

And if coming up against Kyrone more than once has you somewhat concerned, because you were sure you’d killed him the first time... try not to overthink it, at the end of the day it’s not the centaur that counts... it’s the mask ;).

A Rose forever

And now it’s time to end this update by officially announcing the start of our next KS. As many of you already know, Thursday 26th April at 9.00 CET, the funding campaign begins for the new game produced by LMS: BLACK ROSE WARS. BRW is a very different game to the previous two by LMS, which is producing an exquisitely competitive game for the very first time. A Deckbuilding game with spectacular miniatures conceived by Marco Montanaro, whereby, unlike other games in this genre, you’ll find yourself casting spells and moving your mages and evocations from one room to another in the Black Rose Lodge, to decide who will be the next Great Master.

Black Rose Wars stuff
Black Rose Wars stuff

BRW is set in the same universe as Nova Aetas and Sine Tempore, after the events of the NA campaign. So those of you who have been backing us from the start will find a few familiar faces. And that’s exactly why, as is a tradition with LMS, NA and ST backers will receive a small thank you gift for their continued trust and patience!

All NA and ST backers that purchase the Magister level pledge during the campaign will receive the rules to play the gigantic Crono as a Nemesis/Hunt in ST and NA. You will, therefore, receive all the materials to play this gigantic miniature, including the artificial intelligence decks, sheets, missions, with new rewards and exclusive equipment! In addition to all this, our existing backers will receive a $5 discount to spend during the Pledge Manager!

So recapitulating, if you are a Sine Tempore or NovaAetas backer you will have:

- Another 5 dollars discount (15 in total if you take an early bird pledge) - Crono Kit, you can play Crono with Nova Aetas and Sine Tempore.

Chrono Kit includes:

  • Sine Tempore Nemesis Deck (16 Cards)
  • Nova Aetas Prey Deck (16 Cards)
  • Chrono Prey Card
  • Crono Nemesis Card
  • 2 new Mission Cards and Mission sheet
  • 4 new Equipment Cards for Sine Tempore
  • 4 new Formulae Cards for Nova Aetas

We hope you appreciate this small gift and invite you to visit the draft page of the project to keep an eye on it... Crono won’t be the only crossover between our 3 games that will pop up during the campaign!

And that’s all for now! See you in two weeks!

Stay tuned!

A very BIG egg!
about 6 years ago – Sat, Mar 31, 2018 at 12:44:32 AM

Welcome to the Easter update, which as you may have understood by the title, is all about the latest miniature produced for Sine Tempore, the beautiful and terrifying Hydra!

The Hydra!
The Hydra!

From the moment this concept was first introduced, we couldn’t wait to see how the miniature would turn out and finally, we are happy to say the result was well worth the wait! Below you can see the final Hydra model sculpted by our very own Fernando (LMS lead 3D sculptor), which even by his own admission is one of the most ambitious and complex models ever produced by LMS!

.

The fearsome guardian of Primaevus V will be the enormous final piece of the ST narrative campaign and will put your Heroes to the test in a battle royal to cap off the Genesis crew’s epic exploits.

I don't know about you guys, but I can’t wait to get my hands on it!

Well well well... I know what you’re thinking: how cool it would be to see ADE and Hydra in a one-on-one battle? Well, thanks to all the SGs unlocked during the campaign, your curiosity will be justly satisfied!

  • Sphinx
  • Kyrone’s Centaurs
  • Ksur the Merchant
  • Blessed weapons
  • Temple Guardians
  • Tiberius
  • Kalibos

All these models are in the process of being sculpted and will be complete by 30th April, on which day we will send the files to the factory to kick off production.

Rules

On the topic of rules, following your review on BGG, we have completed version 1.1 of the rulebook, you can download it following this LINK.

As for the v1.0 we have opened a new topic on BGG for your reviews, comment and so on:

BGG Rulebook v1.1 topic

We’re completing tests on the main campaign and the Campaign book, which will be subjected to your strict judgment by May.

In the meantime, I’m happy to confirm the number of missions making up the Core Box campaign:

Primaevus V campaign:

  • 12 Exploration missions
  • 10 Narrative missions

For a total therefore of 22 missions, 12 of which are highly replayable and with the main plot that leads to 4 different endings, giving us a truly high level of replayability!

And that’s just for the Core Box... imagine what will happen when we throw in all the additions you unlocked during the KS campaign!!

Speaking of KS exclusive stuff, we have begun to draft Silicio and have completed the Kyrone Nemesis Mission. We’ll talk about both in more detail very soon in another update!

Pacific Rim Kickstarter!
about 6 years ago – Thu, Mar 29, 2018 at 12:29:52 AM

Hi Settlers!

With this update, we are pleased to inform you that our friend Alessio Cavatore and the River Horse guys are online these days with a new Kickstarter Campaign for the production of the board game taken from the brand new movie of the Pacific Rim series!

Giant robots and mega monsters who fight destroying entire cities? Great, I'd say!

But let's see their project in more detail :)

Pacific Rim: Extinction is a scenario-driven, tabletop miniatures strategy game of city-wide destruction and chaos of epic proportions, for two or more players. The campaign ends next week, at 10pm GMT Wednesday April 4.

Check it out here: http://kck.st/2FBhJaL

.

The game is played with enormous miniatures that stand over 75mm tall and come painted, so you can use them right away.

Interested in knowing how to play? Well, Geek and Sundry have produced a ‘How to’ video and a Playthrough video, which you can watch below.

How to play video: https://youtu.be/npBDojur3QM

Playthrough video: https://youtu.be/wyaZaqmBde8

Pacific Rim: Extinction features Jaegers and Kaiju from both Pacific Rim films, and a whole bunch of new Jaeger and Kaiju Expansion Sets have been unlocked in the Pacific Rim: Extinction Kickstarter campaign to celebrate the launch of Pacific Rim Uprising in theatres.

Check them out here: http://kck.st/2FBhJaL

.

Getting started with Pacific Rim: Extinction is easy! You can pick up the core set from just £35, though we recommend the Extinction pledge level (£65, approximately $90), which includes 3 complete expansion packs, including a free Gipsy Danger!

.

For those completionists out there, there’s also the Miracle Mile pledge level, which includes every expansion set on the Kickstarter. Available for £245, the ‘all-in’ pledge level is worth nearly £400 individually and is only available during the Kickstarter period.

Check it out here: http://kck.st/2FBhJaL

.

We hope you love Pacific Rim: Extinction as much as we do. Remember, there are only 7 days left of the campaign – it ends 10pm GMT Wednesday, April 4.

Please pledge your support: http://kck.st/2FBhJaL

For this informative update is everything! See you on Friday for a new update on the progress of Sine Tempore production... and even there we will have a BIG (but not so friendly) Robot!

Stay Tuned!

about 6 years ago – Sat, Mar 17, 2018 at 01:39:22 AM

Hi, Settlers!

Are you ready to take your first step on Primaevus V together with Achab and Alexandra?

I hope so since they are the main characters of the first Print & Play Mission of Sine Tempore! As promised, from today you can download the issue 6 of Ashes, our webzine, where inside you can find interesting previews as well as the rules to play the mission “A heart for a tin-lady”, created for 1-2 players, in which you will be engaged to find the Core of the Andromeda 2.0 generator, in order to reactivate it.

Ashes n.6
Ashes n.6

This first mission is part of a P&P mini-campaign that will keep us company until the arrival of the game itself. In every Mission we will include new rules and a new character, indeed in the next episode, you can also use Andromeda 2.0!

In order to play this mission, you certainly need the Rulebook v1.0, which is already online from a couple of weeks, you can find both the rules and Ashes n.6 in the download section of our support site:

http://support.ludusmagnusstudio.com/

Following this other link, you can instead discuss with us about the P&P mission, for any clarification, suggestion, etc..

Regarding the Rulebook, we take the chance to thank you for all the very useful feedbacks you are giving us, we have already started to make many changes to the book and we plan to put online the version 1.1 for the end of next week, in the meantime continue to follow the dedicated post on BGG and leave us your comments and advices:

Pledge Manager

Thanks to this update we also take advantage to remind you that on 20th March the Pledge Manager will definitely close, so whether you need to add stuff to your order, or that you have to choose the language or you want a Late Pledge, hurry up!

For those who have not done it yet, here you can find the procedure to request the change of the language in the core box: Backers who want the box in Italian or French will have to request it directly from Backerkit support, following these steps:

1 - https://sine-tempore.backerkit.com/faq#contact-us

2 - Enter the e-mail you use to access BackerKit

3 - Select from the drop-down menu the following item "What should I receive my CoreBox in ITA or FRA?"

4 - Follow the instructions

The BackerKit support team will change the language of your Corebox "

Please Note this procedure is only for backers who want to switch their ENG Corebox to ITA version or FRA Version.

Production progress

As usual, we close the update by letting you take a look at the materials we are producing, this time it is the turn of the 4 boards of the core box!

While the "Wild" side of the tiles was shown several times, the other side, the one dedicated to the "Temple of Gea" had not yet been shown until today .. what do you think? (if you want to have fun, also this texture is full of easter eggs).

In addition, we show you for the first time the model of the Raven, sculpted by our young sculptor Tommaso Incecchi (you can learn more about him by reading Ashes n.6).

The Ravens are an elite troop of the army of the evil Andromeda 1.0. Based on the ORC chassis, unlike their brothers, the Ravens are supported by a high mobility and by their ranged attacks to put our heroes on the ropes!

That’s all for this update, see you soon for the rulebook 1.1 and on board for the comments! Stay tuned!

Rule rule rule and language choice!
about 6 years ago – Thu, Mar 01, 2018 at 12:39:27 AM

Hi Settlers!

Here we are at the update that everyone was waiting for! From today you can download the basic rules of your beloved game, Sine Tempore!

Do not waste time anymore, follow this link and download the PDF and then read it, chew it up, put it to the test as you would test a sports car on a track all for you!

As we told you from now on we will follow your advice and corrections to make this bug-proof manual! Every two weeks we will update online a new version of the rulebook with the changings, corrections and the graphics that are still missing!

As you will notice in fact, in some parts the graphics of the rulebook have still to be completed, due to the fact that some components are still in a testing phase and namely they don’t have a final version yet; plus, we do have to complete the index yet.

Our program is to upload a new updated version of the rulebook every two weeks.

To communicate with us and give us your suggestions and advices, avoiding to clog the KS chat, we will always use BGG, we have already opened a topic for your reviews where we can discuss the rules together.

Follow this link, we are already waiting for you!

Italian and French pledge

With this update in addition to the Rulebook, we officially reopen the pledge manager for the language choice of your Sine Tempore Corebox! Backers who want the box in Italian or French will have to request it directly from Backerkit support, following these steps:

1 - go here: https://sine-tempore.backerkit.com/faq#contact-us

2 - Enter the e-mail you use to access BackerKit

3 - Select from the drop-down menu the following item "What should I do to receive my CoreBox in ITA or FRA?"

4 - Follow the instructions

The BackerKit support team will change the language of your Corebox

Please Note this procedure is only for backers who want to switch their ENG Corebox to ITA version or FRA Version. Instead, if you want to leave things as they are, you will not have to do anything, but you can take advantage of this reopening to make the latest purchases, just write to our support team and ask to unlock your order.

Last important note: the PM will remain open until March 20th 2018, beyond this date it will be no longer possible to add to your pledge or change the language of the core box.

Spanish and German?

A note for our Spanish and German backers. Unfortunately, we have not been able to close satisfactory agreements with German and Spanish partners and therefore we will not be able to make core boxes in your language... but do not despair!  We will produce on our own the PDF of the core box manuals in both German and Spanish language! Obviously, all the Spanish and German backers who want to help us in this venture will be welcome!

Near in the future...

Finally, with the next update, scheduled in two weeks we will present the first P&P mission of Sine Tempore within our web-zine Ashes. This mission will be the first of a miniseries of four P&P missions that we will publish every two months and that will accompany us until the game arrives.

As usual, we close this update by taking a look at a new miniature and this time it is my favorite character, the cyclops engineer of the Kraken ... ETNA!

Etna the Cyclop Engineer (WIP)

Etna and his Plasma Cutter (WIP)

This is WIP and as always, we can't wait to know what you think about it!

See you on board and in two weeks with the next update!
