Let's start immediately with the...  

Production report  

 As I had anticipated on the board, yesterday the famous "blank samples" of all the ST material have arrived. We immediately went to work to check all the stuff as soon as possible.  

As you can see from the pics, the paper material is a lot and ranges from cards to punchboard, 3D scenic elements, Hero Datapad, Tiles and much more. The control that we have carried out above all regards the quality of the material, above all for its resistance and durability, but also on the quality and precision of the cuts, especially for the 3D scenic elements.  

After the check, we can be satisfied! There are some small errors, which will be corrected before mass production (in particular, some cuts and the whole Barricade) but the general quality of the material is excellent! We have created a small gallery of images so that you too can get an idea!

Meanwhile, the layout of the material is continuing, and all the files of the base box have already been revised and sent to the factory for printing. Below you can preview the new map of Primaevus V and the "blueprints" style map of our beloved Genesis, with all the sectors visited by the Heroes.

We promised a new P&P mission, and we have not forgotten, but we decided to postpone the next number of Ashes in August, to best focus our resource on the files finalization for the factory and end this phase as soon as possible. 

Once this delicate part of the work will be finished and the ball will pass to the factory, we can dedicate ourselves to prepare many surprises we have in mind for you, Trust us, you will not regret it ;).

Hi, Settlers!  

As we previously announced and many of you surely have noticed while visiting our Facebook page, we received all the samples of Sine Tempore’s PVC-based models: as you can see while browsing through the following images, our efforts paid off in full!

The models appear incredible just at first glance, the quality of the print and the details are nothing short of spectacular, so much that I consider them the best PVC-made models I’ve ever seen (and trust me, I’ve seen plenty): not only that, quality wise they can rival with models made in much more "noble" materials!

After a thorough analysis from our sculptors, we can tell you already that 80% of the models won’t need any revisions, 15% needs a bit of modification to raise the quality even more, and lastly, 5% will need to be subjected to intense correction, because they didn’t pass our quality control threshold.

This correcting phase was already included in our timeline, thus it wouldn’t lead to unexpected delays: as per usual, we will keep you informed on any developments, in the meanwhile take a good look at our lovely models. All pictures have been taken in our studio by us: remember that what you see is the final quality of the models, so what you will receive will be identical to what is shown in the pictures! Yes, you can cheer loud and clear…we’ve already done that ^_^.

Rules and production of the paper material.  

On the rules front, we have finally concluded our tests and the writing of the Rulebooks. At this moment all tests reached the phase belonging to translation and revision.  

We are steadily proceeding with the layout of the various rulebooks and of all the cards: we count on giving you the downloadable versions as soon as possible, little by little as we finish the graphics and revision works.  

During the month of July we are going to send the files to the factory, in order to begin testing the batch printing: this will start from the base box, then continuing to the Black Hole Box and eventually be including, little by little, all the expansions, until the end of this phase that is estimated around the end of July.  

Cardboard materials, in other words, Boxes, Punchboard, TileMap and Hero Datapads, have all been sent to the factory last month. Their production has already begun, so during the next few days, we should receive the famous Blank Samples in order to verify the quality of the cut and proportions.  

With all of that said, this production update report ends here: you will hear from us in about two/three weeks to give you more updates and more stuff to show you!

A tide of tiles!

Hi, Settlers!

Welcome to a new update full of information on production’s progress! According to the title, today we will show you all ST’s tiles and its expansions, and we’ll also update you on miniatures’ production, that is continuing to full sail ahead! But let’s do it in order, and let’s start!

Miniature Production

Today we show you, once again, a roundup coming directly from the new factory we are using for the production of all ST’s material. As you can see, our exchanges with China are bearing fruit and our friends are sending us daily updates on the production of the most delicate part of ST project. In the first photo series, we show you new resin masters of the models from which the PVC miniatures will be produced. Having done a good job of engineering in this phase, we can assure a good final quality of the models, and for now we cannot be more satisfied with the work done by the factory, but we are also very proud of all the care that our 3D sculptors have put in models’ preparation, so much so that at the moment the requested modifications are minimal.

This excellent work, we and the factory did, make sure that the risk of delays for miniatures’ mass production is really minimal ... so, keeping our fingers crossed, we are really happy that the additional time we asked for the ST production is paying off!

But there’s more! Speaking of PVC models, the factory also sent us the first models produced with the final material and, well… we were just amazed! In the following photos, you can see the first shots of these models and enjoy with us the high quality we have achieved!  

And if someone was asking, yes guys, the pictures portray the models as you will see them when you receive them! Are you happy? We are!

Map Tiles

In today’s update, we also show you all the map tiles that you will find inside the various ST’s packs.  

In the Core Box you will find 4 double-sided tiles with two settings, one side will show the inhospitable jungles of Primaevus V, while the other side will show the inside of the Temples where the Priests led by Gaea’s Cult caste perform their propitiatory rites and where many of the main campaign missions will take place.  

The 2 Silicio tiles show some glimpses of the snow-covered surface of the planet (with a frozen lake where a gigantic creature has found death) and on the other side the ground where the Kraken crashed, spreading its wreckage everywhere.  

Expansions’ tiles also have a supporting theme: Kyrone shows Keeper’s hunting ground and the place where Kyrone and his centaurs perform their initiation rites; Motherfang, as well as his den, shows us Primaevus V’s wildest area. Finally, Aracne shows the surface of Primaevus V and the interior of Pandora’s orbit station, marked by the passing of such a dangerous slayer. 

The Pandora tiles show the inside of the terrible Space Station/prison ruled by the creepy Pandora itself. Observing it, you will notice the cells with vertical opening (on the floor) where the inmates spend eternity serving their punishment and the room where their terrible Guardian is. 

Last but not least, here are the bonus Map Tiles that you have unlocked during the KS campaign and which will be included in the Black Hole Box. Many will increase those of the settings allowing a greater variety of scenarios during the Exploration Missions. It deserves a special mention, among all, the Virtual Training Room, which is linked to a particular Sine Tempore SOLO mode allowing you to face lots of enemies waves coming from all the expansions (they are actually holographic projections ... but as lethal as the originals) with one or two of your Heroes, in order to get bonus experience points or just to test yourself! 

Phew… this long series of images it now came to an end! After all these wonders we are persuaded that ST will be one of the most stunning games to set up that you have ever heard of and grabbed!

Miniature Masters!

Hi Settlers!

Today we have great news! As already anticipated on the message board, in this update we will show you some really interesting things! Below you can see the first photos that the factory has sent us these days: all the resin masters of ST miniatures are portrayed.  

The factory is completing their design right now, and mass production will soon begin. The good news is that at the moment there is no particular problem with miniatures’ design, thanks to the excellent work done by our sculptors in models’ optimization phase that they completed in the last months.  

If the production will continue so smoothly, we can say we’re really satisfied; meanwhile, please enjoy these images and give us your feedback!  

An old friend comes back!  

We also take the occasion to remind you that the BRW campaign is coming to an end; many of our settlers have already renewed their trust and joined the party, but obviously, we hope to see even more of you!  

I also remind you that, in addition to the discount of $5 and the conversion kit to use Chrono in Sine Tempore as a new Nemesis, a few days ago one Stretch Goals (we have unlocked over 80 SGs!) having as protagonist our beloved Jukas has been unlocked!  

Genesis’ psionic has gone through the millennia, hibernated by the powers of Gea’s Blood with which he has entered into symbiosis. 

Now he has awakened in a new world and is seeking answers. With this Stretch Goal you will receive a kit to play an alternative version of Jukas in Sine Tempore, then a new Hero datapad and 3 new Equipment with their respective evolutions (for a total of 9 cards), tokens and all the necessary to play our beloved Jukas!

Two is better than one

Welcome to this bountiful (I could say extremely bountiful) update where we will let you know better two (or one?) of the most anticipated Heroes of Sine Tempore, as well as update you on the production status! But let’s go in order and let’s start from ...

Blessed Weapons !  

Alpha and Omega: two names that are pronounced with a mix of terror and reverence in all known systems, but only few really know the mystery surrounding this pair of Pandora’s agents.

Weapons are among the useful exponents of a dying race called Gemini, which has, as characteristic feature, the fact that their women can only procreate once in a lifetime and can only generate pairs of Gemini. The Gemini maintain a strong psycho-physical bond with their twin so they live their entire existence in symbiosis with each other.

Pandora set out to find two members of this race for many years without success, but when Aracne, one of her agents, brought her two newborn Gemini, she realized that her efforts had been well rewarded: she immediately saw the physical and psionic potential of this race and worked to make them her two most trusted and lethal agents.

Alpha and Omega will join Achab and his companions by Pandora’s order, who evidently has plans for Primaevus V, and its purposes will temporarily collide with those of the Genesis crew ... but when our heroes will come to the showdown with her too. ... they will become formidable Enemies (this will happen in the Pandora expansion).

Blessed Weapons are a unique Sine Tempore’s Heroes. Their particularity lies in their mechanics and skills, as well as the fact that the player will move two miniatures on the game table!

Thanks to “double face” activation token you can easily track the model to move, activation after activation. This makes Alpha&Omega’s game very tactical, since, being able to strategically position the two twins on the board, you will be able to get huge benefits from their synergy. To be able to use the most of their techniques, a skill will be extremely useful: Gemini Sense, which allows you to continue using a certain Blessed Weapon, without having to flip the activation token and use the other twin.

Another innovative mechanic is the Twin Effect, which is a condition that you will find on almost all the twins’ skills and, if fulfilled, will allow you to perform spectacular combo actions and inflict serious damage to your opponents.

For example, with the “Entropic Shield” skill, using Alpha you can make a shield attack that will not only deal damage but will push the enemy onto the battlefield. If the target is pushed next to the Omega model, the twin effect will be triggered and Omega will be able to hit it with a basic attack.

Production status

During the month of May we are completing Punchboard’s layout of all the boxes, and today we show you basic box’s punchboard as 100% complete. The punchboard layout process will end by May 20th, but 3 boxes (Core box, Motherfang and Aracne) have been already sent to the factory in order to create the necessary cuts for punchboards’ mass production.

As we have already announced in the last update, 3D sculptures’ files of all the miniatures were sent to the factory that has already started to send back some models to make slight changes, in order to allow the best possible printing for each of them. Below, we show you some files’ screenshots which the factory technicians sent us.

Last but not least, in May we will publish the final version of the rulebook, which of course will be made available to you for a final review before printing.
